Wow what a weekend Easter was …..

Well I don’t know where the week has gone …. these short weeks seem to throw me

So last week was a very very very busy week especially Saturday – 2 x weddings and a dinner for 297 … fantastic staff as usual made it flow smoothly

Amy and Chris’s wedding was held in two venues … ceremony and canapes were served at Islington House, OMG what a beautiful venue/garden and such a gorgeous afternoon to be serving outside, then they moved to the University rowing club for their reception dinner and dance …. Amy looked absolutely stunning in her vintage gown and Chris dashing in his grey style vest …. guests were served mini venison pies with sage and cranberry, thai chicken skewers, Vietnamese rolls and homemade sausage rolls with omega plum sauce … then for their buffet dinner we had chicken with a tomato provencale sauce, delicious slow roasted beef with Greek flavours, yummy roasted beetroot salad etc and for supper … hot cross buns

Rachel and Daniel were wed at the beautiful Grandview Gardens Outramwith Jo and the girls, and unfortunately I was unable to be at this one, but our staff all said the guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves and Rachel looked stunning … they started their dinner service with canapes of bruschetta with seasoned tomatoes and basil pesto, good old freshly made club sandwiches and chef’s selection of hand-crafted savouries and sausage rolls … their main buffet had whole roasted chicken with sage, bacon and onion stuffing, yummy roast lamb with garlic, rosemary and lemon zest … Rachels favourite of cauliflower and broccoli mornay, roasted vegetables and salads, followed by pavlova meringue cake, ice cream and vanilla

Once again, thank you to both our couples for allowing us to be involved in their special day and we wish you all the best for your future

 

And our final event for the day was a dinner for the Dunedin City Baptist Church’s 150th Anniversary at Wingatui Racecourse for 297 guests … well this was a buffet in a half but everything flowed so well thanks to their MC directing tables and of course our staff … from the mouth of the organiser “I had nothing but praise for the whole meal” such great comments are fantastic to hear
