Yesterday we catered our last 2 weddings for 2014, and both were as beautiful as all the others we have had the privilege of being involved with this year …. Tania and Gareth were married at the beautiful Grandview Gardens, stunning is the word that comes to mind when thinking of Tania’s dress … post ceremony canapes followed by family style main course with chicken saltimbocca,

boneless roast lamb, salads, vegetables, new potatoes … Kate and Nick had their reception at the University Aquatic Centre … wow some out of the bag surprises came with this one, canapes served in the boat storage and on the launching ramp and then the groom and his friends decided to join the band OMG .. what amazing voices, then we head upstairs for a buffet dinner with roast lamb, salmon fillets on tatsoi, chicken steaks with souvlaki flavours, fattoush salad (new favourite right here!!), new season potatoes … and then fresh berries and cream with the delicious wedding cake made by the bride … what amazing weddings to finish 2014 with …. but it doesn’t stop there for bbcatering not only did Chef Gordon and Fia cook for over 200 people yesterday but they were back in the kitchen the next day prepping salads for our bbchristmas packs to be send to Invercargill and picked up on Christmas Day .. no rest for the wicked as they say

Apart from these amazing events we’ve been to a lot of different venues this month … Orokonui for Gallaway Cook Allan, Toitu for Zenith Technology, Otago Museum for Shand Thomson, Otago Cricket Long Room for NZME, Dunedin Public Art Gallery for Katie and Gary’s Wedding, delivered to a private home and to Karitane Cruises as well as other deliveries around the town

So what’s next … well this week the ovens are full with Chef’s delicious bbglazed hams for our ham packages and then we start prep for our first weddings of the New Year on the 3rd, Karitane/Huriawa, Grandview and University RFC see ya’s in 2015
