Hi all this week/month/year seems to be flying by AGAIN …. it only felt like yesterday I was writing about 2 Saturday’s ago but now getting ready for this Saturday I’ve realised I haven’t told you all about our gorgeous couples and delicious menus from last week….
sssooo last week we had another 3 weddings …

vietnamese rolls

Friday we catered to Sharon and Linda’s wedding at their beautiful home with a delivery of canapes … vietnamese rolls, parmesan tarts with candied onions, chicken skewers with chef gordons delicious homemade satay sauce, double cheese, pumpkin and sage arincini, shrimp and pork shaomai with kikkoman glaze and more … I am sure everyone enjoyed the canapes and  celebration

Saturday we had two weddings …. I need to learn how to split myself in two so I can be at every wedding, its hard when you have so much to do with the couples in the lead up and then come the day I can’t be at them ALL if we have multiple events …. we’re very lucky that our staff are so amazing
So I went out to the beautiful Grandview Gardens Outram again to cater to Missa and Reece’s reception … wow!!! It was amazing to see two families and two totally different cultures join together as one to celebrate … they started with canapes of pinwheel sandwiches, chicken satay skewers and vegetarian tarts … then along came chef gordon and sous chef fia and the paella cooking began … the smells chef gordon at the paella panwould make another hungry … poor chef was on show in front of all the guests working his magic in our purpose built paella pans … then this accompanied the rest of the delicious buffet of boneless roast lamb with real gravy, roasted chicken with sage, lemon and thyme seasoning, the yummy broccoli salad with cranberries and pinenuts, classic green salad with fresh garden cuts and then onto desserts served with their wedding cake cupcakes, kiwifruit cream puffs and raspberry crème brulee in shot glasses … definitely the menu of my dreams too … everyone love love loved the paella … chef has a couple of videos he’ll post but can’t show you too much of our secrets lol!! Safe travels to Missa and Reece for their 2nd traditional (nearly 2 days) ceremony in Malaysia

Then at Tautuku Moana, Nanaia and Jinan looked after Kim and her families wedding reception … I was told that Kim looked absolutely amazing but their wee girl actually stole most of the show …  glazed ham on the bone
we started their service with some post ceremony canapes and then moved into their buffet service of chef gordon’s to die for glazed ham on the bone (ask anyone whose’s had the pleasure of eating one OMG!!), boneless roast lamb with garlic, rosemary and lemon zest, classic green salad with garden cuts and sprouts, tabouleh with lots of Mint, Parsley, Lemon juice and Olive oil and pasta salad with smoked salmon, tiny capers and dill and to compliment their wedding cake … meringue cake

We can’t thank all our couples enough for allowing bbcatering to be part of their special day
