Well we started of the week prepping for zentech lunches & dinners x4, morning/afternoon teas, lunches oh and 3 weddings!!!!!!!!!! geez nothing like being kept on your toes aye! Morning and afternoon tea deliveries to Toitū Otago Settlers Museum, lunches for Otago Area Council and Otago Radiology, our regular Zentech lunch and dinners and then our weddings began …. Friday seen us at a private residence in Allanton, in a marquee for Emma and Christian’s special day …. well Dunedin didn’t really welcome then nicely as on the set up day it poured and poured and poured not to mention they had just left the floods in England to come home to marry … but come Friday it was beautiful, the venue was amazing lime, pink and white colours gave a really fresh look … pre ceremony bubbles started the evening, moving to canapes of crouton with tomato salsa, mushroom & tomato tartlets, mini chicken burgers with brie and calamari with homemade tartare sauce, the the “gong” sounded and it was time for tea … lemon and thyme roasted chicken, delicious roast lamb with lemon, basmati wild rice salad, amazing fattloush salad with crisp pita bread, feta, olives, garlic, red onion, cucumber and chefs secret dressing and for dessert we had chocolate profiteroles and mini apple pies to accompany the cupcake wedding cake … beautiful evening had by all …. by the way we have never had carpet in our caterers marquee before huge points scored here lol!

Then onto Saturday where we were lucky to help 2 couples celebrate their days Paula, Laurie and Bella (their beautiful dog) celebrated their nuptials at the amazing Grandview Gardens Outram, as usual Jo had the venue looking amazing, simple post ceremony canapes of club and pinwheel sandwiches, hand-crafted savouries and bruschetta kept the guests happy while the beautiful bride and her party had photos, then onto the main buffet of chef gordons secret glazed ham on the bone, melt in your mouth slow roasted beef with a herb and mustard crust and whole roasted chicken with sage, bacon and onion stuffing … accompanied by fresh salads and vegetables the meal was thoroughly enjoyed by all ….

We also popped out to Tautuku fishing club to look after Nathan & Syliva and their friends and family …. fantastic venue as always and they put their own tweek on things … Nathan coming from Dunedin wanted to show case our delicious iconic dishes known to our region so we started canapes with venison pillow pies, sausage rolls with omega plum sauce, cheese rolls and white bait … I’ve never seen so many people excited about cheese rolls (the whitebait I can understand), then onto a plated entree of bruschetta with seasoned tomatoes, proscuitto, basil, mozzerella and pesto, then family style service of blue cod, lamb, beetroot and feta salad, roasted veg salad and vegetables and for the finale platters of mini desserts of creme brulee, custard square, chocolate eclairs and brandy snaps … in the words of one of the guests who comes from Waimate but lives in Sydney “when I come home I want 3 things … blue cod, custard square and lamb … tick, tick, tick and bonus got whitebait” Thank you to all our business and families Now onto this week, morning tea, lunch, zentech and yes another 3 weddings
