here we go again with a wee look into bbcaterings diary for August, well we started off with a roar on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd and it didn’t really stop …. I think we pretty much served clients in every possible style of service we have (but always up for a new idea), 2 course set plated AGM dinner for the ODAC, canapé delivery for birthday celebrations, chef gordons delicious (and famous) hot hams for pick up, conference dinners for Astra Zeneca & NZ Rheumatology and breakfast, day catering for the salvation army, canapé delivery to the Tiakina launch, we managed to fit our regular Zentech catering in …. oh and a very successful Wedding Show Exhibit and on the last day of the month we started catering for the Diocesan School Hockey team on tournament down here for the next 5 days … AND Chef Gordon is constantly in the kitchen preparing our delicious bbquick meals to keep up with demand
So what delicious dishes did Chef and our amazing kitchen team prepare …. where to start, it’s all delicious but to pick a few … breakfast – muesli, yoghurt and berry cups, warm ham & swiss cheese croissants, canapes – pork & prawn shaomai w kikkoman glaze, Vietnamese rolls with coriander plum sauce, venison & sage pillow pies, plated entrees – Mediterranean roast vegetables on black olive crostini with mozzarella, tomato & pesto , plated mains – Seared supreme fillet of salmon on wilted tatsoi drizzled with kikkoman glaze, buffet – slow roasted beef with a mustard and herb crust, broccoli salad with pinenuts, cranberries and red wine mayo, desserts – crème brulee, mini banoffee pies, homemade brandy snaps …. OMG I am so hungry now will have to pop into Chef’s kitchen and offer to be a taste tester lol!
