i used to get these from skyland gardens while at le meridien in vanuatu…..they came in rock hard and green like this and we put them in to the ripening room with the papaya and manioc etc…..in a few days they were ready to eat (a bit like handling avocados….i remember marie tenene (my cold larder chef de partie) telling me how good they were for your health….little did i know….i always said it was my favorite fruit up there though….perhaps not so presentable….damn nice juice….and a real good jam it made!

I’ve heard that the leaves of the plant sour-sop is also a proven cancer remedy. Is it true?
